We can open an account from the age of 16However, parental authorisation is required before the age of 18.
You must submit a identity documenta proof of address and deposit a minimum amount varies from bank to bank.

From age 18you have 2 possibilities :
- or you remain attached to your parents' tax household (As a student, you can stay until the age of 25, otherwise until the age of 21),

You must declare your salaries if you have touched them.
- If you have a "student job"You only have to declare what exceeds the equivalent of 3 SMICs (€5,318 for 2024 income),
- If you have received work experience allowances, you only need to declare the amount that exceeds the annual minimum wage (€21,273 for 2024 income).
- If your parents pay you a alimonyyou must declare it. The maximum amount to declare is €6,794. Do not declare anything in excess of this amount if your maintenance payments exceed €6,794.
You do not have to declare scholarships on social criteria and housing subsidies.
