All under-26s can travel with a valid reduction of 50 % on Mobigo trains (that’s the name of the TER trains in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté) without having to show a commuter pass. This discount also applies to TER trips to and from the Centre-Val de Loire, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, and Grand Est regions, as well as on the Nevers-Paris route.

Ginko is the name of the Besançon transport network. It serves all the communes of the Grand Besançon Métropole urban community.
It includes 2 streetcar lines (T1 and T2) and 4 main lines (Lianes numbered L3, L4, L5 and L6) that run every day during the day and evening.
On these lines, trains run frequently: every 5 to 12 minutes during the day, depending on the line.
Urban lines numbered 7 to 12 run daytime from Monday to Saturday, with service every 8 to 40 minutes, depending on the line and the time of day.
Complementary lines and suburban lines (serving other towns in the Greater Besançon area) complete the network.

Bus and streetcar lines T1, T2, L3, L4, L5 and L6 run until around 1 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, and until 11:30 p.m. on other nights of the week.
Note: all lines connect at the République hub ("République" and "Courbet" stops) in the late evening.
You can pay with your credit card (or your smartphone) by passing it in front of the validator. The trip costs 1,40 € and is valid for 1 hour.

Yes, if you have a Ginko pass—such as the 15/25 pass, for example—it is valid on Mobigo (TER) trains for journeys within the Grand Besançon Métropole territory. All you need is your Ginko Mobilités card (with a valid season ticket loaded on it). There's no need to validate.
Ginko VéloCité offers nearly 200 bike-sharing bikes at 32 stations: 100 regular bikes and 100 electric bikes.
You can rent a bike occasionally for 1 trip (€1), 24 hours (€2) or 72 hours (€4). After that, the first 30 minutes are free with a conventional bike (€1 for an electric bike). Additional ½ hours cost €0.50 each.

There are marked routes for bicycles in Greater Besançon. They are partially equipped or use less busy streets.

Grand Besançon Métropole gives a help for thepurchase of an electric bicycle. It is aimed at local residents whose income does not exceed a certain amount.

On the streetcarthey are permitted during off-peak hours but not at peak times (except for folding bikes).
